Important Notes

  • The Mission will accept a complete set of rolled finger and palm prints of both hands on the prescribed Kenya Police fingerprint form taken in black ink at a local police station.
  • Fingerprints and palm prints to be recorded on a prescribed form at the nearest Police Station in the present country of residence.
  • It Must have an official endorsement with the police station’ seal or official stamp, NOT FROM PRIVATE AGENTS.
  • Foreigners will only be issued with the certificate if they have been residents in Kenya for 6 months or more.
  • Copies or finger prints used in previous years are not acceptable.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Requirements

Requirements for Kenya Citizens

  1. Description Form C24 (Police Clearance form) attested either by Police Station or Notary Public (click here to download)
  2. A detailed self-explanatory letter stating the need for the said Certificate;
  3. Fingerprints of both hands duly attested by the local Police Station;
  4. Copies of Passport attested by Notary Public (bio data and visa pages)
  5. Copy of Kenyan National Identity Card duly attested by Notary Public (if the applicant is above 18 years and if the applicant is below the age of 18 years a certified copy of a Kenyan birth certificate will suffice).
  6. Application fees of Rs.700/- payable by bank demand draft in favour of Kenya High Commission, New Delhi.
  7. A self-addressed A-4 size envelope with postage stamps to enable the Mission send back the document.

Processing time: 2- 3 months

Requirements

Requirements for Non-Kenyans

  1. Description Form C24 (Police Clearance form) attested either by Police Station or Notary Public (click here to download)
  2. A detailed self-explanatory letter stating the need for the said Certificate;
  3. Fingerprints of both hands duly attested by the local Police Station (it must be black in colour)
  4. Copies of passport duly attested Notary Public (all pages);
  5. Copies of Kenya work Permit or Dependent /Pupil’s pass endorsed on the passport as documentary prove of legal stay in Kenya.
  6. Copy of Police Clearance Certificate issued by the Indian/Sri Lankan/Singaporean/Bangladeshi Authorities respectively; and
  7. Application fees of Rs.700/- payable by bank demand draft in favour of Kenya High Commission, New Delhi.
  8. A self-addressed A-4 size envelope with postage stamps to enable the Mission send back the document.
